Born and raised in Cuyahoga County, Ryan attended St. Ignatius High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts at Xavier University. At various times throughout his youth Ryan lived and worked abroad in places including Nepal, the Dominican Republic, Alaska, Montana, Chicago and southeast Ohio before returning home, taking up residence in Cleveland and entering the Pipefitters as an apprentice. The folks he met and lived amongst over those years helped to broaden and deepen his understanding of what connects us all as humans and helped to shape his life outlook in a more global capacity. A lover of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio, Ryan enjoys paddling Lake Erie and its tributaries, hiking and biking the trails of the Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley, and taking in live music at any of the many and great local venues of Northeast Ohio.
