Luis Cartagena
Luis Cartagena is a passionate advocate for education and entrepreneurship. As the President/CEO of Cartagena CPA & Consultants, LLC, he provides accounting, tax, financial management, and consulting services to individuals and small to medium-sized companies. In his previous role as Inclusion Officer for Cuyahoga County, he focused on promoting diversity outreach to vendors, potential vendors, stakeholders, and the community. Cartagena also provided internal and external support for the County’s inclusion initiatives.
Luis strongly believes in the power of building strong communities and relationships, which is evident in his volunteer work. He serves as a Trustee for several organizations in Northeast Ohio, including Neighborhood Family Practice, Council of Small Enterprises (COSE), and the Borderlight Festival. He was the past Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for Saint Luke’s Foundation and past Board Chair for the MetroWest Community Development Organization, which serves multiple wards within the City of Cleveland. Cartagena is also a member of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority Audit Committee, Cuyahoga Arts & Culture Audit and Finance Advisory Committee.
Luis is a State of Ohio licensed Certified Public Accountant. He holds an MBA in Financial Planning and Accounting from Ursuline College. A proud Clevelander, Cartagena is married and has three children.
