
Brian E. Hall is Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and 100% owner of IIS (Industrial Inventory Solutions, LLC). IIS provides logistics and distribution solutions through three entities, ITI (Industrial Transport, Inc.), which provides yard management, trailer switching and dedicated short distance shuttles. Innogistics which offers warehouse service solutions such as sequencing, sub-assembly and kitting, and secondary packaging. iSource Performance Materials which distributes paints, adhesives, lubricants, and sealants, in addition to industrial safety products. The oldest company, ITI was founded in 1977 by Brian’s father, William D. Hall; and uncle, Horace E. Hall. The companies serve blue chip customers such as, Procter & Gamble, Apple Computer, Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler Corporation, Miller Brewing, General Mills, etc.
Brian graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1980 with a Bachelors of Business Administration and from Baldwin Wallace College with an Executive MBA in 1987. Brian attended the Dartmouth Minority Business Executive Program in 1988 and subsequent advanced classes in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
Brian has been an extremely active Civic volunteer serving on over 20 boards and tasks forces in the areas of civil rights, economic development, youth education, arts, politics, and culture. He is currently Co-Chairman of The Commission on Economic Inclusion, Secretary and Governance Chairman for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well as a trustee or director of The President’s Council Foundation, University Hospitals, The Greater Cleveland Partnership, Fifth Third Bank and Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority.
Brian founded the Tremont Elementary School Advisory Group. Organizing 10 men to serve as mentors to 14 boys in grades K-5 in 1991, he continues to mentor and communicate with several of the men today and has become surrogate father to several of them.
Brian was also a founding member and 10 year President of the Presidents’ Council. This group brought together leading African-American and Public Company CEO’s around the mission of wealth creation and economic growth in the African-American community. The Presidents’ Council was awarded the Governor’s Award for Supplier Diversity in 2002. Its 501(3)c Foundation has garnered over $1 million in grants.
Brian has been recognized numerous times including receiving the R. H. Adler Community Leadership Award from the American Jewish Committee; Volunteer of the Year by Leadership Cleveland; and Supplier of the Year for Community Service by Ford Motor Company. He’s been featured in stories by The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Crain’s Cleveland Businesses, Kaleidoscope Magazine, and the Call & Post Newspaper.
Brian’s wife Susan L. Hall, is the Assistant Curator of the African American Archives at the Western Reseve Historical Society. They have three children Monika, Jordan, and Tristen.
