
Anthony Moore is a partner in the international law firm of Jones Day, resident in its Cleveland office. Since 1893, Jones Day has grown, in response to clients’ needs, from a small Cleveland practice to a global firm with more than 2,400 lawyers in 32 offices around the world. Today, Jones Day is one of the most recognized and respected law firms in the world, counting more than 250 of the Fortune 500 among its clients.
Moore joined Jones Day in 1975 after his graduations from Harvard University and the University of Virginia School of Law. He has been admitted to the Bar of the State of Ohio, and is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association.
Moore practices corporate and securities law, with a current emphasis on corporate governance and audit committee guidance to CEOs and boards of directors of middle market and growth companies. In addition to advising on traditional mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, he provides counsel to clients seeking solutions to transportation and logistics challenges in the global marketplace. Over the years, Moore has represented a wide variety of public, private and family enterprises, as well as governmental entities and non-profit organizations. He was active for numerous years at Jones Day as a member of the Cleveland office’s Hiring Committee and the Firm’s Committees on Audit Letters, Recruiting and Legal Opinions.
Moore serves, by appointment of Mayor Frank Jackson, as a member of the Cleveland Airport System Business Advisory Committee and is Chair of the Communications Sub-Committee. After Mayor Jackson’s election in 2005, Moore joined the Mayor’s Transition Team, providing advice with respect to the City’s international and lakefront airports.
Additionally, Moore is a member of the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, and Chair of the Audit Committee, of Ohio Northern University. He also is a Trustee of Village Capital Corporation. He has previously served as a trustee and executive committee member of a number of civic and charitable organizations, both nationally and locally.
